Rocks & Ropes Facilitator | YMCA of the Rockies

Under the direction of our Adventure Director, you’ll help create unforgettable, confidence-building experiences on climbing walls, high and low ropes courses, and our Aerial Challenge Course—all while living out the YMCA mission of building healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
What You’ll Do
Facilitate indoor and outdoor climbing wall sessions
Lead guests through high ropes, low ropes, and aerial challenge courses
Welcome and assist guests of all ages and backgrounds
Answer questions and help guests enroll in adventure programs
Support program development and continuous improvement
Promote safety, encouragement, and fun at every height
Be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team
Who You Are
Comfortable working at heights up to 60 feet
Friendly, patient, and confident working with people
Calm under pressure and committed to safety
Aligned with YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Faith
Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
Previous facilitation or adventure experience is a plus!

Many positions offer access to on-site housing with utilities and Wi-Fi included, along with three meals a day in the dining commons, which removes much of the cost and stress of living in a resort mountain town. Employees receive free or discounted access to YMCA facilities such as fitness centers, climbing walls, trails, courts, and recreational programs, as well as opportunities to participate in seasonal activities like Nordic skiing, tubing, canoeing, hiking, and biking depending on location and time of year.
