Overview
Overall Responsibilities This position is a team-based role for the retail, rental, and guide shop with Zion Cycles and Guide Hub. This position is offered on a full-time or part-time, hourly position working out of our Springdale location.
This role will involve; the sale of retail products, new and used bikes, rentals, and guided offerings. Also involved will be to provide skills as a bike maintenance technician and to provide exceptional customer service and education for visitors about our rentals, service, local outdoor and park efficacy, and our guided trip offerings.
Key Areas of Responsibilities Providing an outstanding shopping experience and delivering exceptional customer service Educating customers about the experience of renting and riding into Zion National Park Educating customers about the different guided experiences Setting up and sizing people to the correct bikes and/or gear for their chosen activity Maintaining store aesthetic by cleaning, stocking, and organizing Sales of bike parts and retail goods; sales of rentals, booking a guided trip, and create a work-order Being able to answer the phones and direct callers to the appropriate department Staying up-to-date with our brand and product knowledge, company information, sales, and local events. Provide a basic level of technical skills to maintain the rental fleet Qualifications A friendly and upbeat personality A self-starter that consistently delivers an outstanding, personalized retail experience Interest in gaining or expanding skills as a maintenance technician Eagerness to learn and be a part of the riding and guiding community.
Proficiency with computers and POS systems required. Pay is hourly. Additional Compensation includes store discounts, Trek University Pro Deals, and PTO.

The Perfect Fit
Experienced individuals that are knowledgeable about multiple types of land-use agencies and maintain a WFR certification (or EMT/WEMT) are ideal. Although not a deal-breaker, candidates who carry certifications by the AMGA, ACA, or CAC are able to guide technical tours earlier in the training process. We do a large amount of in-house training, however, pay is based on experience and skill level. The ideal candidate must be physically capable and willing to work on-site in the Bryce and Zion National Park area. Individuals interested in working in the bike shop must have a love of riding, exploring the outdoors and outstanding customer service.

Housing Options
We have a limited number of rooms available on a FCFS basis. Rent is subsidized and houses are shared but rooms are individual. Showers are available at the shop so van living on public land is doable.

Things To Do In The Area
Mountain/Gravel/Road Biking, Climbing, Hiking, Canyoneering, SUP, Fishing, Moto, Camping, Skiing (in Winter). The active community is very large however, there is not a very lively nightlife. There are several bars and breweries and some arts/culture but the main focus is the outdoor recreation.
RV / CamperVan Space
Dispersed camping is available all over southern Utah. Showers are available at our retail shop.
