Overview
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Catering Assistant & Crew Chef Cover to join our team for the summer season. This is a unique opportunity to work in a beautiful remote setting while gaining hands-on experience in high-volume catering and creative kitchen work.
Position Details:
-Season: May through October
-Schedule: 8–10 hour workdays, 2 days off per week
-Environment: Lakefront location in the Sawtooth Mountains
-Team: Small, tight-knit kitchen team
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist the Catering Chef with weddings and special events (average of 200 guests per weekend)
-Support execution of events including weddings, fundraisers, offsite parties, and tasting dinners
-Prepare and execute staff meals (lunch and dinner) for approximately 100 employees twice per week (buffet style)
-Create charcuterie boards for sunset appetizer cruises on off-days of the Catering Chef
-Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
-Assist with bulk prep and event setup/teardown
Qualifications:
-Strong knife skills and kitchen fundamentals
-Experience with bulk food preparation preferred
-Ability to work efficiently with a sense of urgency
-High standards for cleanliness and organization
-Positive attitude and strong work ethic
-Passion for creating high-quality food
-Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Compensation & Benefits:
-Competitive hourly wage (DOE)
-Tips shared evenly between event staff
-Additional tips earned from charcuterie service
-Estimated tip earnings exceeded $12,000 over the 5-month season (based on previous year)

Housing Options
Housing for Redfish team members is on site and is about 1⁄4 mile from the lodge. In your housing, you will be provided with a closet and a dresser. If your housing does not have a bathroom, you will have access to the dorm style shower and bathroom in the “Ritz” building, which is a very short walk away. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 9am. It is very important that you keep your living area clean, and there will be periodic cleaning checks (some announced, some not) throughout the course of the summer. Cleaning supplies will be located in the housekeeping building or in the closet at the Ritz. If you are living in Stanley and working at the Lodge, you will be required to park in a designated parking area. All or any of your guests need to be approved prior by management.
Meal Plan
You pay $10 dollars a day for food, and your housing is free during your employment. You will be provided with three meals a day at the chow hall. Breakfast is from 7am-10am, Lunch is from 11:30-2pm and Dinner is from 4:30-6:30pm. It is a good idea to bring snacks for outside of these meal times. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know. Our amazing employee chef will be able to help in some regards.
