Brewpub Host/Cashier: Job Overview As a member of the front of house team it is your responsibility to maintain the four core principles of Denali Brewpub: Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Ownership. Qualifications: - Prior experience preferred. - Alaska Food Handler card. - Alcohol TAPS card. - High level of attention to detail. - Ability to think and act creatively, while conforming to existing standard operating procedures and DEC regulations. - Must be in good physical condition. - Ability to sit/stand/bend/walk/lift and maintain manual dexterity for duration of work period. - Must be able to work independently. - Have a flexible schedule, team player. Duties will include: - Provide exceptional customer service. - Maintain appearance, cleanliness and general ambiance in accordance with the culture of Denali Brewpub. - Maintain a clean, safe work environment. - Greet guests and seat them in an orderly fashion in accordance with the seating rotation, considering business volume, staff strength and kitchen readiness. - Engage guests to promote and maximize retail sales. - Sell merchandise and to go beverages. - Maintain a neat and orderly merchandise program. - Loss prevention. - Water and tend to plants as needed. - Assist other FOH staff as needed, including bussing and food running. - Complete and/or delegate daily side work as outlined in the FOH binder. - Other duties as assigned by management. We do not provide employee housing, but maintain relationships with local landlords. We will provide a list of contacts to help with making housing arrangements.

Things To Do In The Area
Opportunities for adventure abound, with world-class outdoor activities available seven days a week. Explore the trails on foot, by bike, or on an ATV. Take in the scenic beauty on a flightseeing or jetboat tour. Zipline and rappel through the northern boreal forest, experience the glacier-fed rivers on a rafting adventure, or "mush on" with a dog sled tour. Denali State Park is only a 45 minute drive away. The hiking options are plentiful, beautiful and easily accessed. Denali Arts Council provides live music concerts in the park on Friday evenings, as well as a variety of theater performances, art shows, and other entertainment. There are a number of music festivals throughout the season and local establishments feature live music most nights of the week. We celebrate the end of each summer season with an employee bash. Throughout the season, we often have groups of employees getting together to set up outings to one of the many area lakes, camping destinations, and other outdoor activities.
RV / CamperVan Space
There is a possibility of camper space available, depending on location needs. Other local landlords may be open to campers for the season. There are two campgrounds located in Talkeetna. There is also a downtown location with four, full hook-up spots available.
