Overview

The Shore Lodge, Whitetail Club Maintenance Engineer maintains our guest rooms and keep front and back of the house areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, wall covering and masonry to ensure our hotel is both attractive and well-maintained. Our maintenance technicians must be familiar with all building/ fire/health and safety department codes and work to maintain the energy efficiency of our various complexes.


WHAT YOU GET TO DO:



  • Responds to all maintenance requests as received from the front desk and other departments, completing assignment sheets/check lists daily

  • Completes Preventive Maintenance on guest rooms

  • Performs regular pool/spa maintenance including cleaning, backwashing, cleaning tile, and chemical maintenance

  • Performs repairs on equipment and fixtures

  • Interacts effectively with customers, employees, and supervisors

  • Able to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks and assignments while maintaining professionalism, composure and confidentiality

  • Maintains a clean and safe work area including tools and supplies

  • Takes initiative and exercises good judgement when problems arise

  • Maintains the building exterior and “curb appeal” of the property (snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening, raking and leaf blowing)

  • Fixes or repairs furniture and marina/dock repair, appliance repair

  • Employee housing maintenance and repair


WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:



  • Must be able to complete tasks and assignments without supervision

  • Have a basic understanding of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical processes and procedures

  • Provide detailed and accurate verbal and written communication to supervisors and co-workers

  • Work with multiple tasks and possess the ability to prioritize

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days and nights

  • Prior hotel/Resort experience and/or experience in the customer service industry is preferred • Journeyman experience in maintenance is also preferred
