Vista Verde Ranch is now hiring for Winter Guide positions!

This Adventure Center position is designed for a dynamic, multi-talented team member who has a passion for serving others, and can balanced high standards of safety in the outdoors and professionalism with relational, authentic western hospitality.

QUALIFICATIONS
Personality & Fit
- Be outgoing, personable, and comfortable in the food and beverage world.
- A dynamic and intentional team player that learns guest’s names, engages in meaningful conversation.
- Interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and authentic manner.
- Adventurous spirit and exhibit a passion for the western lifestyle and the outdoors.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and time management to balance tasks.
- Engage in the VVR Community and Culture.

Guide Duties
- Learn the Vista Verde practices and standards of guiding and facilitating trips
- Take initiative and use resourcefulness to recognize and anticipate needs, facilitating safe and compelling trips
- Have a passion for teaching and guest relations
- Be comfortable in cold, snowy, winter conditions in the back country
- Knowledge of First Aid, Group Management, Risk Management, Map & Compass, and Weather.
- Knowledge or open to learning the activities of :
1. Nordic XC Skiing, classic and skate preferred
2. Snowshoeing
3. Ice Fishing and knowledge in techniques, safety, and ice quality 
4. Snowmobiling and experience with snow machine handling and backcountry terrain 
5. Fat Tire Biking
6. 3D Archery Course
7. Tubing 
- Enthusiasm to participate actively in ranch community and activities such as Barn Dance, Trivia, and Music Night, and take opportunities to eat meals with guests, furthering relationships over the week.

Schedule & Reporting
- Full-time seasonal, on-site at Vista Verde Ranch
- Seasonal or year-round options available depending on candidate fit
