Toddler Teacher – Where Little Feet Explore Big Worlds
Bennett Preschool | YMCA of the Rockies

Do you believe toddlers learn best with muddy hands, curious minds, and caring hearts? We’re looking for a Bennett Toddler Teacher who’s passionate about early childhood education and excited to teach ages 1–3 through a nature-based, child-led curriculum.

At the YMCA of the Rockies, you’ll be part of a mission-driven community that puts Christian principles into practice while nurturing healthy spirit, mind, and body—for kids and for each other.

Why You’ll Love This Role

Teach and inspire toddlers through play, exploration, and nature

Collaborate closely with co-teachers and the Preschool Director

Create lesson plans inspired by children’s interests and developmental needs

Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and fellow staff

Work in a values-based environment rooted in Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Faith

What You’ll Do

Implement engaging curriculum for children ages 1–3

Observe and document child development through notes, photos, and videos

Create a safe, nurturing, and curiosity-driven classroom environment

Anticipate and respond to safety needs with confidence and care

Uphold childcare licensing standards, YMCA policies, and ACA guidelines

Assist with daily cleaning, opening/closing duties, and special assignments

Participate in required trainings, meetings, and team collaboration

What We’re Looking For

ECE degree or qualifying coursework plus required documented childcare hours

Meet State of Colorado qualifications for a child care center group leader

Passion for working with young children (this one’s non-negotiable)

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and walk up to 2 miles on uneven terrain

Current First Aid & CPR certification

Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

At least 21 years old and fluent in English

Ability to pass a criminal background check

Work Environment

This role is active, hands-on, and occasionally outdoors—perfect for educators who love movement, nature, and energetic little learners.

If you’re ready to make a lasting impact during the most important years of a child’s life—and do it in a supportive, mission-driven community—we’d love to meet you.

Apply today and help our toddlers grow, explore, and thrive.
