Become a Sky Guide and escort guests as they zip above the Boreal forest of northern Minnesota with views into Canada! We are currently looking for energetic, enthusiastic individuals to join our Canopy Tour guide team. Attention to safety and top quality customer service are essential. Season is May through October, so only candidates that can work through October will be considered.
We are located in the heart of the Superior National Forest between Lake Superior and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and are listed in 1,000 Places to See in the U.S. & Canada Before You Die. As a zip-line tour guide, you will have the opportunity to build on the legacy of this legendary resort on the Gunflint Trail and call this iconic vacation destination home.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare gear and course for each tour
Monitor gear and course each day to ensure all equipment is ready for tours
Lead a ground practice and gear-up session for each tour group while interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner
Ensure guests are properly greeted upon their arrival and guide them through the check-in process
Clean and organize gear following each tour
Ensure guests receive personalized services according to individual needs
Participate in tasks with a team-oriented mindset
Help other departments as needed when tours are not running
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in outdoor adventure activities professionally or personally
Ability to carry conversation on 2 hour tours
ProfIciency in English
Customer service drive with outstanding communication and active listening skills
Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
Demonstrated leadership skills
Ability to work flexible hours
Strong sense of responsibility and a professional presentation
