Pastry Chef Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee preparation and/or prepare all desserts and baked goods from start to finish using established hotel recipes
Prepare the above dishes using your own recipes or developing and creating new dishes
Ensure cleanliness and proper function of all kitchen/ bakery appliances and equipment used in the preparation of dishes
Participate in the development of department budget
Ensure adequate supplies of all raw-material needed to prepare baked goods and dessert items
Other duties as assigned
Pastry Chef Qualifications:
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk, use hands, feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
Must be able to move objects up to approximately 45 pounds about the workplace safely.
