Bike Mechanic

Job Description

Zion Cycles is located at the entrance to Zion National Park. We are the only full-service bike shop offering rentals, repairs and sales, as well as guided tours. We have a satellite location on the East side of Zion.

Service technicians fulfill the following duties during a season with Zion Cycles:

Maintain Zion Cycles Rental Fleet Bikes to keep them in proper working condition
Perform preventative maintenance on Zion Cycles Rental Fleet
Maintain customer bikes; including walk in services
Maintain and clean service center and shop tools
Maintaining store aesthetic by cleaning, stocking, and organizing parts and accessories
Diagnose issues with customer and rental fleet bikes
Ability to work on all types of bikes; electric, road, MTB, kids, hybrid
Ability to efficiently repair flat tires
Set up MTBs for guided trips and customer rental
Sales of bike parts and retail goods; sales of rentals,
Comfortable booking a guided trip, and creating work-orders
Being able to answer the phones and direct callers to the appropriate department
Staying up-to-date with our brand and product knowledge, company information, sales, and local events. Truly becoming a resource to our customer base
Work with Purchasing and Shop Manager to order parts
Providing an outstanding shopping experience and delivering exceptional customer service
Educating customers about the experience of renting and riding into Zion National Park
Educating customers about the different guided experiences
Setting up and sizing people to the correct bikes for their desired riding
Providing an outstanding shopping experience and delivering exceptional customer service

Compensation is based on experience but averages between $17 and $20 per hour
