BARTENDER JOB SUMMARY:
Warmth and a peaceful energy take prominence within the Bar at the Shore Lodge, working within the striking centerpiece bar, our Bartenders step out to interact with our guests, enjoy The Bar’s spectacular view of the Mountains and Lake! Never experience boredom as The Tapas Bar menu changes quarterly to reflect the seasons, the style of The Bar perfectly emulates the warmth that is Shore Lodge. If you exceed service standards, enjoy hand crafting exceptional cocktails and possess a strong knowledge of wine and food, this is the job for you!
WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
• Mixing beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, fruits, etc…
• Taking beverage orders from customers or wait staff, hand crafting unique drinks and serving as requested, paying extreme attention to detail
• Preparing and serving snacks, or other food items for customers at the bar
• Anticipating guest requests in a timely manner
• Assessing customer preferences and making drink recommendations
• Providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons
• Verifying age-appropriate requirements for all customers
• Excellent cash handling skills to balance cash receipts
• Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
• Cleaning the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment
• Organizing the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
• Slicing, pitting, and preparing fruit garnishes for drinks, complying with food and beverage regulations
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail
• A sense of maturity and leadership coupled with the ability to functionally multi-task
• Assist other team members as needed, and all other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
• Training and/or Experience with Bartending, extensive knowledge of cocktail mixers and the ability to prepare and present them to Shore Lodge standards.
• Knowledge of liquors, their makeup, history, and flavor profile
• Prior success working with vendors and distributors, placing orders for liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies.
• Proven experience limiting customer problems by restricting alcohol intake and curtailing inappropriate behavior.
