Located in the western United States, Sun Valley is the premier year-round resort with two high seasons, summer, and winter. Our summer season typically begins early to mid-June and runs through the beginning of October while our winter season kicks off at the end of November and continues through the beginning of April. Finding an affordable place to live is a challenge for most mountain and resort towns. The Sun Valley Company chose to invest in its employees with the recently constructed Aspen and Alpine dorms. https://svemployee.com/ - has great employee housing info with pictures! Aspen Building: 112 Units: 6 residential wings with shared rooms and communal bathrooms. Wings in the Aspen building are organized by identified gender. (2-4 person rooms) Alpine Building: 60 Units: 6 residential wings with mixed accommodations and private bathrooms. (1-2 person rooms) *Please note the Alpine Building typically operates on a waitlist. Each building includes: - Common area TV Lounges - Ski and Snowboard storage options - Locker rooms - Lockable under bed storage units - Access to grills - Pillows, sheets, and towels are provided. However, you are welcome to bring your own. Additional amenities in the Aspen building include: Employee Fitness Center (Availability subject to Employee Housing Office) Large Kitchenette area with commercial microwaves, toasters, and assorted vending machines.
Winter Sun Valley is of course known for its skiing and snowboarding. With over 2,000 feet of elevation and nearly 2,500 acres of terrain, and the considerable snowfall numbers each winter, whether you are a novice or expert skier, there is something for everyone. However, if you are not a skier or snowboarder, there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy and active. These include ice skating, snowshoeing, hiking, Nordic skiing, bowling, art walks, festivals, races, live music, and more.
Employee meals are provided in our employee dining room called The Place. The Place offers a variety of options and is open for 3 meal periods a day. The average cost of a meal is $3.00 and they accept debit, credit, or cash.
