Pahaska Tepee is a family owned resort nestled in the Shoshone National Forest and bordered by two crystal clear mountain streams. We are located one hour west of the nearest town of Cody, WY, just outside Yellowstone National Park's east entrance. Our resort offers cabin-style lodging, a restaurant and bar, a fantastic gift shop and a convenience store. Yes, our restaurant and bar will be open for normal service! Trail rides are also offered on property.
You will be living in one of the most unique locations in the world! Historic Pahaska Tepee, Buffalo Bill's 1904 "Gem of the Rockies", was built in the heart of our nation's first National Forest (Shoshone), next to our nation's first National Park (Yellowstone), and on both sides are America's two largest wilderness areas in the lower 48 states (North Absaroka and Washakie)! Our frequent visitors are buffalo, moose, bears, foxes and occasionally, wolves. Pahaska Tepee is a family-owned business with a peak season staff of about 50 employees. You'll know everybody's name and we'll know yours. You will not be just a number on the corporate payroll. We all work together, live together, play together and form friendships that can last forever. To quote a past employee, "Where else can you have breakfast, lunch, and dinner with 40 friends every day?" We are committed to the health and safety of our customers, staff and community.
We work hard to give you 2 days off in a row so you can take advantage of this great country! We have an employee TV and rec room, limited satellite internet access but no cell phone service. Employees are encouraged to take a 1 or 2-hour trail ride at no charge. Additional rides are 50% off. Employees are also given a 20% discount in our gift shop. Visiting family will receive generous discounts on accommodations.
If you are looking for a true western summer job in the mountains of Wyoming and are motivated with a strong dedication to honesty, integrity, consideration and customer service, we would be very interested in hiring you for our summer season. We expect our employees to provide guests with western hospitality and always have a positive “can-do” attitude. Leave the negative attitudes at home and come enjoy Wyoming's great outdoors! Our summer season runs from May 7th through early October. We look forward to hearing you!
Our housing is dormitory style and non-smoking. Most likely you will have one or two same-sex roommates and a shared bathroom. Sorry, we do not have housing for families or pets.
Blue ribbon trout fishing and miles of hiking trails are right at your doorstep. Take a trail ride or just kick back and enjoy the scenery. For photography enthusiasts, the opportunities are endless. Mountains, wildlife, and Yellowstone National Park are right out the window. In Cody, there are the 5 museums of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, the Cody Nite Rodeo, river floats, Old Trail Town and a full slate summer events scheduled for 2021.
In our employee dining room, we provide three well-balanced meals per day for a small fee.
