Awesome Place, AMAZING People!
Located along the beautiful shores of Lake Monomonac in Rindge, New Hampshire, Camp Starfish is a not-for-profit residential camp which serves children between the ages of 7 and 16 who have emotional, behavioral, social and learning challenges. Using a combination of traditional camp programs combined with an industry-unique one-to-one staff to camper ratio, we have created a different kind of place - one that meets the needs of children who have not been successful in other programs. Our campers experience success and fun at camp because of the individualized attention they receive from talented, creative, amazing staff (like you!).

Our awesome summer staff and campers live in cabins, eat in the dining hall, swim in the lake, roast marshmallows over the campfire, have fun during “free play,” participate in activities together, and build a camp community which is both similar to – and as unique as – other summer camps. The main thing is (as one of our Starfish Tools says), “We Come to Camp to Learn, Grow, and Have Fun.” Learn more about what it's like being on our staff team: https://youtu.be/X97umP19KnI

Room (Housing) and Board (all meals) are included for all employees. Starfish cabins are comfortable and rustic, with electricity. Cabin groups are intentionally small, typically 4-5 campers with 4-5 staff. In all cabins, campers sleep on the bottom bunk with a staff member occupying the top bunk above them. The cabins are arranged in a circular "village" which includes a washhouse with toilets, sinks and showers. Cabins have a central floor space for nightly cabin meetings, playing cards and games, dance parties or reading. Each camper and staff member also has a cubby with labeled shelves to help them organize their clothing and personal belongings. Baggage is stored in a separate building, out of the way when not needed.
Due to Covid-19, Camp Starfish will be operating as a closed campus or "bubble" for the 6-7 weeks of your employment in 2021. While on camp, enjoy lounging at the staff-only lakeside beach or hang a hammock near the staff retreat area. After you are done with employment, Boston is a short drive away and offers plenty to do. We are also a stones throw from the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the Green Mountains of Vermont, miles of Atlantic seashore (including Cape Cod National Seashore), and the must-see Acadia National Park!
All meals and snacks are provided to you by camp. We also have a staff store to satisfy your cravings (ice cream, anyone?). In 2021, during your time off, you will also have access to pub-style food, beer and wine (if you are of legal age), and local food deliveries.
If you need to park a vehicle at camp, we have space! Please note, however, that you will be required to live onsite in camp housing.
