Idletyme Brewing Company is a big restaurant with a small brewery attached. We specialize in making German Style Lagers but since we are in IPA Country, we throw in a couple of hopped up ales for good measure. We rely heavily on our seasonality. Summer is an incredibly busy time for us. We are located directly On Stowe's Recreation Path which leads runners, walkers, and bike riders right to our backyard, a large beer garden and dining space with a treehouse bar. During the Winter we are the 3rd restaurant on Mountain Road coming down from Mount Mansfield. The Apres crowd is strong and we thrive on busy nights during the ski season. Idletyme is located in the space formerly occupied by the legendary Shed Restaurant. We do our best to maintain the conviviality The Shed once provided.

Front Of House: Server Assistant - Food Running and Bussing. During the winter we have 200 indoor seats. Through Summer and Foliage we have almost 400 seats between the Outside and Inside Dining Areas. We move food out of our kitchen at a fast pace and serve 800-1200 guests per day. Server - 25-30 seat sections that are always full. A fast paced environment with a support team to help make it happen. Bartender - Serving guests in Bar Sections that include Bar Tops and Tables as well as the Service Bar for all guests seated in the restaurant. We have 3 separate bars and 2 are in use at all times. Teamwork is the name of the game to make it successful. Dishwasher - Never working alone. No one person can make this place run and that is especially true of our dishwashers. It is fast paced and paid on level with some of our cooks. This position may include some prep work as well. Prep Cook - We feed ~1000 guests per day. It takes a team to get it ready. Line Cook - Our Guys/Girls rock. It is impressive to see the kitchen team execute. We pay well for the best people to make it happen. Strong Leadership in the FOH and BOH helps support all positions but we will never sit back and let our Line Cooks fail. We jump in and help get it done.
Temporary Housing available for the right candidates. Rent would be a direct debit from you paycheck on a weekly basis @ $110 per week. There is a shower/bathroom available for an employee electing to live in their own RV. 25% Off Food for you and 4 guests on any non-work day. FOH receives 50% off their meal on a working day. BOH receives a daily shift meal. 50% discount on all Merchandise. Our sister restaurant is down the road (American Flatbread Stowe). Discounts on meals there as well. Possibility of picking up hours if desired.
Our ideal candidate is experienced enough to be able to jump right in. For veteran Servers and Bartenders we have a condensed training program. Experienced BOH can jump in and start working! The more stations you can work/learn, the more we pay! We are looking for a seasonal commitment from 6/15/2024 through 9/15/2024 at the latest. If you want to stay in Stowe longer we would certainly consider long term employment for the right person!

We have two 2 bedroom apartments. 1 Bedroom for female and 1 bedroom for male. Ideally we would have 2 people per bedroom but this can be negotiated. The bedrooms are furnished with beds and dressers. The living areas have a couch, table, chairs, television (basic cable), and internet included. Each apartment has its own full bathroom as well as laundry. The apartments are located at 1859 Mountain Road (same address as the restaurant)! There is no need to commute. The apartments are upstairs from the Brewery/Restaurant.
We are on the Mountain Road in Stowe, Vermont. The Stowe Rec Path runs through our backyard where you can walk, run, hike, get int eh river, ride your bike, whatever you like! Just up the Mountain Road is Mount Mansfield, Spruce Peak, and Smuggler's Notch. This area provides for incredible hiking opportunities, especially during the foliage season. Stowe is also home to incredible Mountain Bike Trails. It doesn't get much better. There are a ton of breweries and cider places very close by including Von Trapp Brewing and The Alchemist. We have limited space for an RV or two. We would set aside parking spaces for those RVs and we would be able to do this for free. There is NO hook up for water or disposal of gray water. We are very close to the river that runs through town and disposal is strictly prohibited. There is an employee bathroom located in the restaurant offices. We would be able to offer use of that facility for showers, restroom, etc.
