The YMCA of the Rockies is a globally-known conference & family center that annually serves more than 200,000 guests. Our mission includes putting Christian principles into practice in a way that builds healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Our guest-centered focus is based on providing exceptional service to all who visit. Our two unique centers offers amazing opportunities to experience the Rocky Mountains, sitting at over 8000 feet above sea level, and located on either side of the Continental Divide. Estes Park Center (EPC), is located on the eastern side, just one hour from Boulder and borders Rocky Mountain National Park on 3 sides, offering direct access to the park. EPC is a great place to live the mountain lifestyle with access to hiking, climbing and many other outdoor activities, as well as the cities of the Front Range. Snow Mountain Ranch (SMR) is located on the western side, in a more remote area of Colorado known as the Fraser Valley, near Granby and Winter Park. In the winter, SMR is home to one of the largest Nordic ski areas in the country, with over 100 km of trails on the 5000-acre property. Winters at SMR can last up to eight months, but for winter enthusiasts, there is no place like it, with days and days of powder. In the summertime, SMR is surrounded by back-country forests and trails, with opportunities to get your boots or wheels in the dirt for many hours of fun. When you work at YMCA of the Rockies, you become part of something bigger than yourself. You become a key player in helping cultivate an environment of healthy living, youth development, and community impact. As an employee at YMCA of the Rockies, you will meet all walks of life and live each day with a greater sense of purpose. You’ll learn to lead with heart and measure success by the impactful moments you’re able to create for guests, community members, and fellow staff. This is a place where nature inspires and quality time happens naturally. Our serene surroundings of Rocky Mountain National Park provide moments of bliss throughout our days and remind us how lucky we are to grow our careers in such a beautiful and supportive place. The work you do here matters – join us and help make the world a better place for you and the ones around you!

Employees at YMCA of the Rockies enjoy a unique set of perks that make mountain living both affordable and rewarding. Many positions offer access to on-site housing with utilities and Wi-Fi included, along with three meals a day in the dining commons, which removes much of the cost and stress of living in a resort mountain town. Employees receive free or discounted access to YMCA facilities such as fitness centers, climbing walls, trails, courts, and recreational programs, as well as opportunities to participate in seasonal activities like Nordic skiing, tubing, canoeing, hiking, and biking depending on location and time of year. Additional perks often include discounted lodging for friends and family, employee discounts on activities and gear, and access to corporate ski passes or reduced-rate lift tickets at nearby resorts. Beyond tangible benefits, seasonal staff gain a strong sense of community, participate in staff events and outings, and build transferable skills while working in a mission-driven environment surrounded by Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.
The perfect fit for this position is someone who is mission-minded, genuinely caring about service, community, and making a meaningful impact rather than just earning a paycheck. They resonate deeply with the YMCA’s values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and find fulfillment in helping others feel welcome, safe, and supported. People-centered in their approach, they enjoy working with guests, families, children, coworkers, and volunteers, demonstrating patience, friendliness, and calm under pressure, while feeling comfortable connecting with individuals from all backgrounds. Adaptable and team-oriented, they thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments and value collaboration, strong communication, and working together to achieve shared goals.
