Alaska X, founded in Skagway, Alaska, has provided award-winning excursions for nearly 30 years. Our mission is to inspire others through adventurous and informative experiences in the wilderness and beauty of Alaska. Our season runs from early May until late September and a generous bonus is given to employees who can complete the season with us. We offer a variety of seasonal summer jobs including: Mechanic, Maintenance crew, Unimog Operators, Naturalist and Canoe Guides, Zip Line Guides, Adventure Guide, Horseback Guides, Dog Mushers and Handlers, Boat Captains, Office and Dock Personnel, Adventure, Retail Sales Associates, Culinary Support Staff, Groundskeepers/Gardeners, Carpenters.

Ideal candidates are those who share our passion for Alaska and its history. We are seeking seasonal employees who are fully committed to making sure our guests leave with extraordinary memories as well as a greater appreciation and understanding of the Alaskan nature and heritage. Preference is given to applicants who are available for the entire season, but we do accept applications from those who are only available part of the season as well.
We offer optional affordable housing. Depending on the location, rents range about $65 - $85 per week with utilities included. Rent as well as a refundable housing deposit is deducted directly from paychecks, so no money is needed upfront. All of our housing will have shared common areas and roommates. We do our best and try to give each employee their own room and space.
Skagway is a town that thrives in the summer and welcomes seasonal workers with open arms. Skagway's visitor page www.skagway.com is an excellent resource to learn about the hikes, entertainment and summer events.
At Alaska X we do not provide employee meals. The employee is responsible for providing their own meals. In Skagway we do have a local grocery store.
We do not have RV/Campervan space available for our staff.
