Job Description

Lead Adventures. Inspire Confidence. Work Where the Mountains Are Your Office.

If you love being active, connecting with people, and helping others push past their comfort zones, this job was made for you. YMCA of the Rockies is looking for an Adventure Activities Facilitator to bring energy, safety, and heart to our climbing walls, ropes courses, and mountain adventure programs just outside Rocky Mountain National Park.

This isn’t a desk job—it’s a chance to spend your days guiding guests through unforgettable experiences, building teamwork, and creating moments that matter in one of the most beautiful places in Colorado.

What You’ll Do

As an Adventure Activities Facilitator, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team delivering high-quality, safe, and engaging programming at the Boone Family Mountain Center. Your days may include:

Belaying and facilitating indoor and outdoor climbing wall sessions

Leading low ropes team-building activities and assisting with high ropes courses

Creating welcoming, confidence-building experiences for guests of all ages

Running the Adventure Activities desk—answering questions, registering guests, and sharing local knowledge

Handling cash and credit transactions for programs, rentals, and merchandise

Supporting smooth daily operations with setup, teardown, and teamwork

Every shift is different—and every guest leaves because of you feeling stronger, braver, and more connected.

Why YMCA of the Rockies

At YMCA of the Rockies, we believe in putting Christian principles into practice by building healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. Our staff live and work in a community rooted in purpose, service, and inclusion—where nature inspires growth and every role makes a real impact.

Here, you’re not just facilitating activities—you’re helping create lifelong memories.

What We’re Looking For

CPR certification (or willingness to obtain during training)

Strong people skills and comfort working with all ages

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Comfort working at heights and in outdoor environments

Passion for teamwork, safety, and guest experience

Previous facilitation experience is a plus—but not required

Work Environment Perks

Indoor and outdoor work in a stunning mountain setting

Active, hands-on days—no sitting still

Meaningful work that combines adventure, service, and community

A supportive team that values Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Faith

If you’re ready to turn your love of adventure into a job with purpose, we’d love to meet you.
Join YMCA of the Rockies and help guests discover what they’re capable of—one climb at a time.
