Compensation - All meals provided during expeditions. Paid weekly rates start at $446.25/week but increase with additional experience, specializations, and certifications. Read more about our compensation structure here.
In this role you will:
Provide 24-hour support with guidance, supervision, safety and comfort for participants (Grades 1-5) during all activities
Primarily lead our single-sport mountain biking program; may be asked to co-lead other overnight camp programs from time to time (training will be provided!)
Organize and participate in camp programming, ranging from outdoor sports to camp games and rituals
Follow and educate campers on safety protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of participants
If you are a trained Driver, transport up to 13 campers to and from program areas with company passenger vans
Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of camp for all positions
Must be at least 20 years of age to be eligible for a Driver position
+1 years of experience working with kids in a professional or volunteer setting preferred
Demonstrated personal and/or professional mountain biking experience a must-have
Minimum Basic First Aid & CPR certification by the start of camp (and we can point you in the right direction to get this done) A Wilderness First Aid certification is required to work at Camp Windy Peak
Work Schedule
Overnight camps are a 24/7 operation. The leadership team will create a schedule that provides you with time off throughout each session. This will typically include an extended daily break, 24 hours off per session, and the weekend, (Friday evening to Sunday morning), between each session.
