It is the responsibility of floor supervisors to work with FOH staff to maintain the four core principles of
Denali Brewing: Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Ownership. Floor supervisors are expected to exercise
good judgment and decision making to ensure these principles are maintained always.
Qualifications:
- Prior restaurant experience.
- Possess valid TAP card.
- Alaska Food Handler card.
- Extremely high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to think and act creatively, while conforming to existing standard operating procedures and DEC
regulations.
- Be proficient in all FOH positions to support staff as needed.
- Familiarity with POS equipment.
- Possess basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
- Possess good craft beer, wine and spirits knowledge.
- Ability to sit/stand/bend/walk and maintain manual dexterity for duration of work period.
- Must be able to work independently and be able & willing to work morning, midday, night and/or
weekend shifts.
- Able to lift 55 lbs. and move at least 165 lbs.
- Have a flexible schedule, team player and be 23 years or older.
Duties will include:
- Maintain FOH training programs in conjunction with Management to ensure FOH staff are adequately
trained.
- Ensure FOH staff have the tools they need to do their job well.
- Consult with the management team to resolve staff issues.
- Work closely with FOH staff daily to ensure positions are filled. Schedule sections, breaks, rotations,
etc. to ensure excellent service and maximum efficiency.
- Maintain the Brewpub in a safe, working condition in accordance with DEC regulations.
- Maintain appearance, cleanliness and general ambiance in accordance with the culture of Denali
Brewpub.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of POS systems, use and program the system daily.
- Navigate adverse situations such as power outages, water outages and flooding.
- Help execute the merchandise program by ensuring product is stocked and tidy.
- Opening and closing duties.
- Fill in as needed.
Pay Range: Starting pay: $20/hour
Expected hours worked will vary seasonally. Summer hours are typically 40 to 50 hours per week.
This position requires flexibility and the ability to work hours as needed.
