Position Summary:
The Mountain & Grooming Supervisor is responsible for all manners of Snowmobile Operations that are related to mountain tour operations. The Mountain & Grooming Supervisor oversees guides, groomers, EMT’s, fuelers and mountain staff. This position is responsible for all tour activities, including safety, timing and the customer experience. The Mountain & Grooming supervisor must maintain wage and hour compliance, DOT compliance, safety compliance and overall compliance with ARAMARK policies. The Grooming responsibilities include overseeing all grooming needs on the mountain within our operation. This position will asses trail maintenance and coverage based on snowfall and storms. The Supervisor will drive the SnoCats in conjunction with the Snowmobile operation. The Supervisor is in charge of the grooming needs for the 40 mile network of trails used for the Snowmobile Operation. The SnoCats are rated as heavy equipment, the SnoCats blade fresh snow, and tow various implements to smooth out the trails. This work is mostly done at night, when tours are not on the mountain. This position will assist in any scheduling needs.
Essential Functions:
Hiring, training and disciplining of all mountain staff.
Assessing of mountain and trail conditions.
Ensuring of mountain, machine and trail readiness.
Conducting an operation of tours within USFS and ARAMARK guidelines.
Ensures all standards of set mountain operations are met. (Customer Service, Safety, etc.)
Scheduling of Mountain Staff, including EMT’s and Groomers.
Conducting and documenting daily standup meetings.
Conducting and documenting fuel tank and facility inspections.
Ordering and inventorying mountain supplies such as EMT supplies, fuel, oil, customer refreshments, snowmobile and Sno-Cat fluids and supplies, etc.
Responsible for payroll edits and related slips, and payroll compliance
DMM safety compliance updates (5 Why’s, inspections, etc.)
Abides by and upholds all ARAMARK policies
Oversees the Grooming program
Coaches and develops employees within proper ARAMARK/HR protocol
Responsible for all grooming and maintenance needs of the trail system
Responsible for all SnoCat equipment conducting regular vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance needs to the shop
Drive SnoCats with accompanying pieces of towable equipment, detailing and grooming trails.
Keep trails open during periods of storms or snowfall utilizing available equipment.
Move snow by SnoCat to sparsely covered areas of trail network.
Perform and document daily maintenance routine on SnoCats.
Assist Mountain Team with operational logistics
Qualifications:
3 – 5 years heavy equipment experience required.
2 years prior grooming experience preferred.
2 years guide / and or mountain supervisor experience required.
2 years hospitality industry required
Must have a clean DOT driving record.
Must have a valid US Driver's License and pass a Motor Vehicle Record history check (MVR)
