Mountain Bike Patrol Duties & Responsibilities:
To continually strive to exceed our Guests' expectations and to create memories for guests and staff as the best mountain experience.
To provide front-line interaction with summer guests.
Administer First Aid on the mountain and hiking and biking trails.
To be diligent in the handling and recording of all accident information forms and to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of information.
To mark, sign, open and close all biking trails in accordance with the standards set out on all-mountain trails.
To ensure safe trail conditions are met for all guests and staff.
To be able to build and repair the trails so to ensure the safest possible experience with the least impact on the environment.
To provide First Aid for hike/bike race events.
To update trail status and conditions daily.
To carry out the daily opening and closing procedures.
Increasing Mountain Bike Safety Awareness by patrolling the Bike Trails on a daily basis.
To assist with other departments as required.
Administer First Aid to Mountain users when required
Perform lift evacuation as required.
Mountain Bike Patrol Qualifications:
Minimum of 80 hours Level III Occupational First Aid certification or Outdoor Emergency Care.
Excellent risk management skills.
Evac system knowledge is an asset.
Ski Patrol experience is preferred
Capable of riding all the trails on Bald Mountain.
Able to interact well with guests and other mountain department employees.
Must be well-spoken and able to interact with guests on the front line.
Must hold a full and unrestricted valid driver’s license.
Must be a minimum of 19 years old.
Required to complete a satisfactory criminal record check.
