Our Bartenders serve the classics with a twist, new and vintage creations and concoct legendary hand-crafted libations. Enjoy working in this waterfront setting that holds the reputation that is at the forefront of McCall Idaho. If you exceed service standards, hand craft exceptional cocktails and possess a strong knowledge of wine and food, this is the job for you!
WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
• Greet guests, create an enjoyable first impression
• Take care of guest requests, take food orders, enter orders into POS, and deliver orders
• Prepare cocktails, pour wine, pour beers, in a consistent fashion to Shore Lodge Specifications
• Take money, operate a POS terminal
• Anticipate guests’ needs and provide appropriate service
• Deliver food and beverage orders accurately and timely
• Calculate tabs correctly and make change
• Know Shore Lodge’s history, McCall and the surrounding area well enough to help familiarize out of town guests with our local offerings
• Assist other team members as needed
• Clean service areas and stock inventory levels
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
• Able to communicate effectively with and receive information from guests and team members
• Ability to multi-task while being highly organized and detail oriented
• Excellent customer service and cash handling skills required
• Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques in order to perform the essential functions of the job
• Knowledge of liquors, their makeup, history, and flavor profile
• Thorough knowledge of cocktails, cocktail mixers, their preparation and presentation
• Ability to carry on multiple conversations while mixing drinks, and using a POS system
• Lifting supplies or equipment of thirty (30) pounds or more
• Able to count, read and write in the English language
• Frequent periods of pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Constant visual and hearing acuity coupled with frequent agility and dexterity
• Functional knowledge of food techniques for preparation
• A sense of maturity and leadership
