Job Description

Bartender Position: Locations Available- The Boardwalk UPPER DECK, The Boardwalk Main Deck, The Keys Restaurant and Hooligans
Responsibilities:
• Have a positive attitude, along with an energetic and friendly personality
• Have a contagious SMILE
• Always present yourself in a clean and professional manner
• Quickly and efficiently execute the steps of service as outline in the training manual
• Be prepared to completely learn our food and beverage menus
• Actively participate in all training sessions and exercises
• Take all food and beverage orders of bar guests while using suggestive upselling techniques
• Be aware of all specials, promotions, and Put-in-Bay island events
• Know the drink menu and prepare each beverage as directed in recipe guides
• Adhere to established measuring and pouring standards. Do not over-pour OR under-pour.
• Accurately manage a cash drawer, bank, and change bank
• Learn to properly use the Aloha POS system
• Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with managers and staff in every department
• Have a strong sense of TEAM
• Find opportunities to go above and beyond your duties to create a memorable dining experience for every guest
• Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
• Communicate all scheduling needs and requests to your department manager in a timely manner
• Actively assist in other Front of House responsibilities such as bussing tables, running food, and regular cleaning duties
• Complete all side work and shift duties
• All other duties as needed
Requirements:
• High School graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Prefer a minimum of two year of previous bartending experience
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written)
• Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time
• Be able to work in an indoor or outdoor setting during Ohio’s summer months
• Be able to lift 30 pounds
• Fulfill commitment to START and END dates, along with September and October WEEKENDS.
