Position Summary:
As a Barista at Edgewood Tahoe you provide prompt service, quality beverages, and conduct cash register transactions, while maintaining a friendly, upbeat and clean atmosphere. The most important characteristic of our team is that we love inspiring lasting memories for our guests. In this position you exhibit excellence in your commitment to our guests. Essential Functions:
• Welcome and connect with every guest. Discover guests’ needs and appropriately suggests product to enhance service and meet expectations.
• Follow proper cash handling procedures, prepare guest checks and collect payments.
• Operate and understands Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Prepare beverages that may range from basic to complex according to recipe standards.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for are and equipment.
• Maintain clean working environment.
• Clean and maintain the appearance of all merchandise and guest areas.
• Respond to guests' inquiries and their requests.
• Sincerely thank guests as they leave and inviting them to return.
• Complete assigned cleaning duties and side work.
• Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Qualifications / Special Skills:
• Prior coffee shop experience preferred but not required.
• Upbeat and outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
• Must possess computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
