We are hiring Barbacks to join our Food & Beverage team! The role of the Barback is to assist the Bartender in setting up the bar, stocking, prepping juices and garnishes, cleaning and running food. It is the Barback’s primary responsibility to ensure that the bar is fully stocked always, and that the Bartenders have everything they may always need. You must be passionate about working as a team to deliver the highest quality of drinks, food, and service to our guests.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Bartender and guest’s needs.
Assist with duties associated with opening the bar.
Maintain knowledge of the sequence of service, and follow it each time when approaching a guest.
Prepare juices and garnishes with efficient and great presentation.
Attend to guests upon entrance.
Always keep the bar stocked.
Keep up-to-date knowledge on all menu items including preparation, any allergens, and alternative preparations, and specials. Communicate food restrictions to Food & Beverage and Culinary team.
Run food with beautiful and clean presentation.
Maintain a clean bar and dining area.
Occasionally pour beer and wine, when absolutely necessary.
Maintain knowledge of classic and specialty cocktails.
Check taps, and change kegs when needed.
Collect dirty glasses, polish, and stock the bar.
Ensure confidentiality of guests, before and throughout their stay.
Assist with guest service issues accurately and promptly; communicate effectively with Restaurant Manager to assist.
Maintain up-to-date awareness of Resort information and amenities.
Work in collaboration with other teammates to deliver guests expectations.
Maintain table settings, cleanliness and service throughout the course of the meal.
Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related coursework
Minimum of six months of experience in food & beverage, preferably in a resort or fine dining setting
Knowledge of world class hospitality and service
Basic knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
Proficient ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, while remaining organized and prioritizing workload throughout the day
Maintain a friendly and professional manner under periods of high demands, with guests, team members, and management
Valid Food Handler’s license
Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company driving policy
