You may be looking for a working holiday adventure in New Zealand for 6 months or maybe developing your hospitality career here in New Zealand with us. We have staff accommodation options available and can also accommodate couples or small groups if everyone has hospitality experience. Our seasonal teams are fun and made up of a diverse mix of people of all ages and nationalities.
The regions where our lodges are located - Northland, Hawke's Bay and Queenstown - are filled with some of New Zealand’s most recognised visitor icons and attractions, as well as lesser travelled roads that are equally worth a visit. Enjoy diverse and stunning scenery with magnificent views, native bush, suspension bridges, waterfalls, beautiful streams, lakes, stunning beaches, estuaries, harbours, boardwalks, disused train corridors and tunnels. Matakauri Lodge is located seven minutes from Queenstown and spectacularly situated on Lake Wakatipu. Matakauri is a world-class luxury lodge and a member of Relais & Chateaux, an exclusive collection of the finest hotels and restaurants in the world.
What you will do:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced, professional and motivated individual to step up and take daily charge. We are seeking a hands-on, enthusiastic and energetic leader to deliver timely cleaning, thorough inspections and consistently high standards.
You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Housekeeping Department including; maintaining high standard of suites and public areas, leadership of a team of Room Attendants and an on-site laundry operation.
What you will bring:
The successful candidate will have:
A passion for service delivery and the hospitality industry
Cleaning experience, ideally in a 4/5 star Hotel/Resort environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and drive a team
At least 18 months management or supervisory level experience in a comparable environment
A high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
Flexibility - able to work shifts, including weekends
