Montana Family Hospitality
The Yellowstone Village Inn has 45 rooms and was built in 1983 and has been run by family members ever since. Located at the entrance to Yellowstone National Park, we are only moments away from scenic hikes and drives, river rafting and horseback riding, and enjoy a view of Electric Peak and numerous wild animals from the property. Being a small family run business makes our property special, and while it is a lot of hard work it is a rewarding journey. Providing guests with an enjoyable stay that feels like home while they experience Yellowstone is our top priority.

Because we are only seasonal, and because we can be short handed in our small town, an employee will work 6-7 days a week (a requirement if they are living on property). The shift will be from about 7:00 am until 1:00 or 2:00pm depending on how busy we are. We all work together to strip the rooms, and housekeepers will begin to clean bathrooms and sanitize the rooms. Then we all work together on beds and final touches in the rooms. A housekeeper will have between 7-14 rooms they are responsible for per day. We utilize teamwork because there are so few of us, so days become more efficient as summer goes on and everyone is fully trained. If living on property you will be living near the owners and their family in an apartment, and guests are not allowed, however there are many places in town to meet people (covid-safely). We hope by the end of summer to form friendships with all employees and work together to grow and provide a summer of great hospitality to visitors coming to enjoy the Park.
We will go to local restaurants at times to bring lunch to everyone at work. Another benefit is the affordable housing, which is very hard to find in Gardiner, especially just for the summer.
The perfect candidate would be reliable, ambitious and hard working. The sooner we get the work done the sooner everyone can get outside to enjoy Yellowstone, so someone who will work every morning will benefit because they will be able to have afternoons free (all while still getting plenty of hours). Attention to detail is important as cleanliness is our top priority. We will try our best to make this a great experience for them, and with hard work and a good attitude, this is a perfect fit for someone who is ready to join our small team.

We have one apartment with three beds on property. It was built recently for a family member but they moved away, so it has a full kitchen and a new bathroom. It is located behind the hotel next to the owners. Pets and visitors are not allowed. Also no smoking allowed indoors. Roommates may join as we continue to hire. There are also other business in town hiring that have housing and in the past we have had people live and work off property but also work here. We have one RV hookup behind the hotel as well. Also no pets allowed on property. A deposit will be taken from the first check, and will be returned at the end of employment (or end of summer) if no damage has been done.
Hiking, rafting and kayaking, zip lining, horseback riding, and hot springs are all within 5 minutes of us. If you have a car you will be able to drive into Yellowstone to explore the park, and Bozeman, Montana is an hour an a half away. The bar scene is limited because last year we lost some places in a fire, but there are still fun spots to go out and meet people, we will be happy to show you fun places to go when you get here.
We do not include meals, most people go to the store here in town and just stick up on items, but if my family is ever cooking lots of food we like to share.
We do not have an RV available but if you do we have full hookups where you could park for the whole summer, it is right next to our family’s housing and has a great view
